RealWorld Orthopaedics3.1 - App Store

* FEATURED IN AAOS' MULTIMEDIA EDUCATION CENTER *
* Now compatible with iOS 8 *

RealWorld Orthopaedics is your ultimate guide to the basics of musculoskeletal medicine.

This app features more than 50 chapters covering the most frequent and important diagnoses of the field, including fractures, dislocations, and degenerative diseases. The chapters are divided into sections discussing basic mechanisms of injury, diagnostic criteria and classifications, differential diagnosis as well as management. The chapters are fully illustrated using high-quality plates from Gray's Anatomy, original illustrations and original photographs.

RealWorld Orthopaedics is also the best musculoskeletal radiology resource on the App Store! Not only can you see radiographs of every discussed disease, all radiologic findings can be highlighted right on the X-ray. Explore more than 150 real cases each containing:
- Clinical information regarding the patient and the mechanism of injury
- High-resolution X-rays
- All appropriate series (anteroposterior, lateral, oblique, etc.)
- Detailed radiologic interpretation
- Drawings of every radiological finding right on the X-ray
- Pre and postoperative controls

Test your knowledge with the quiz mode, where the radiographs are presented in random order, or access a case directly either by diagnosis (e.g. Galeazzi fracture, rhumatoid artitis) or by actual radiological finding (e.g. linear hypodensity, plate and screws, irregular joint surface).

By being both a radiology resource and a comprehensive clinical reference, RealWorld Orthopaedics is your must-have app for quick review on the wards, or at home.

A compact, high quality atlas of skeletal radiological appearances - 5 stars
by jepho - Version 1.0.0 - 31 March 2011 - UK iTunes Store

A fantastic job! This is a great reference work for anyone interested in seeing real examples of diagnostic imaging for skeletal trauma and disease. The viewer is a joy to use [...] I have no hesitation in recommending this application very highly. [...] It will probably replace my battered copy of Orthopaedic Radiology (Long and Rafert) [...] This seminal work deserves to be on every clinician's iPhone. At this minimal cost, they have no excuse for not purchasing this application. I predict that it will become a classic.
